How big will it be?This Kingdom will cover the entire world, and people from all nations will be in it.
11 Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him; All nations shall serve Him. So people from ALL nations will have a part in this Kingdom, not just Middle East countries.
What will it be like?If we look at a few more verses from the Bible, we will see two prophecies about how wonderful this Kingdom will be:
4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.
6 "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them.
7 The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole , And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea.
1 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD’S house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills ; And peoples shall flow to it.
2 Many nations shall come and say, "Come , and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways , And we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
3 He shall judge between many peoples, And rebuke strong nations afar off; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks ; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war any more.Quite an amazing prospect compared to the war-torn and violent world that we live in today!
How long will it last?Unlike governments of this current world, which come and go, the Kingdom of God will last forever! How do we know this? Look at these verses:
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
3 How great are His signs, And how mighty His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And His dominion is from generation to generation.
27 Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’ Unlike the nations and kingdoms of today, this Kingdom will be perfect. No crime, no wars, no hatred, no poverty, no abuse, no misery. Sounds too good to be true? Well, it's not, and what's more, it will soon be a reality.
